What is the Turn.aido?

The Turn.aido is a clever patient rotational therapy system, which, when used under a bed sheet, provides a side-to-side glide motion enabling a single nurse to turn immobile or heavy patients with ease.

The Turn.aido patient turning facility can really help when:

  • Only one hard pressed carer wants to rotate a patient

  • When only a slight change of position makes all the difference between agony and relief to a patient in great pain

  • When you want to turn a patient without waking them up

The benefits to nurses, NHS staff, and patients are clear to see:

  • Patient lifting and nurse back injuries are minimised

  • It is possible for many patients to be turned by a single nurse or carer

  • It empowers relatives to move their loved ones without waking them up

  • It is excellent for managing patients in cases of severe pain, bone metastasis, multiple fractures, hip fractures and a variety of difficult problems

How does it work?

The Turn.aido is not a patient turning frame, a tilt or turn over device, or an electrically operated patient turning aid where patients are turned while unattended.

Turn.aidos can also be purchased separately to fit over most alternating air overlays, alternating air replacement mattresses and static care mattresses.
