The Tripos³ pressure relief mattress is the first alternating pressure mattress for very high risk patients that can be transformed into many positions by a single carer in seconds. It comes with its own integral adjusting backrest, or it can be used with an electric mattress variator or on an electric profiling bed.

While the patient is lying on the pressure mattress the strips can be coiled (picture 1) to give a wide choice of 16 support positions (pictures 2 and 3).

Once set, the foam-filled non-slip coils hold their shape. The alternating air mattress section remains draped over the coils, giving unimpeded pressure relief.

Serious sacral ulcers recover best when not laid upon. The posterior orange segment is coiled up to buttress the upper thighs. The patient is prevented from relapsing onto the sacrum. The coils can be re-adjusted by a single carer in seconds for the patient to lie on their other side.

By adding the Turn.aido rotational therapy system to the Tripos³ nurses, NHS staff and carers have an unrivalled patient turning system which has to be seen to be believed!
